Frequently Asked

Once your physician has referred you to Mood’s services, you’ll set up your first video visit with one of our licensed providers. They’ll work with you to understand your challenges and goals, and come up with a treatment plan, which can include medication if appropriate. From there, you’ll meet via video regularly to check in on your progress. If your treatment plan includes talk therapy, you’ll also meet with a licensed talk therapist at a pace that works for you.

Yes! We accept most major insurance plans.

Generally, your first appointment will be an initial evaluation and will last about 45 minutes. After that, psychiatry appointments are typically 20-30 minutes long. Talk therapy appointments are 50 minutes each.

Psychiatry and talk therapy are both clinically proven treatments for mental health. Psychiatry is provided by clinicians who are able to prescribe medication when appropriate. These clinicians can also provide practical lifestyle advice and alternative treatments. Talk therapy addresses mental health through conversations and counseling with a licensed clinician. Talk therapists do not prescribe medication.
