Abraham, also known as Abe—“Mr. Bread” or “Señor Pan” to kids and teens—is a social worker educated at California State University, Northridge. He uses a warm, person-centered approach and draws from CBT, motivational interviewing, strength-based and problem-solving therapies, mindfulness, ACT, and many practical coping skills. Abe has worked in a wide range of settings, including crisis work with the Bellevue Fire CARES program in Washington, elementary schools in the Lawndale School District, permanent supportive housing with Penny Lane Centers, and community health services at Comprehensive Community Health Centers. These experiences shaped his ability to connect with people from many backgrounds and life stages.

Abe has always wanted to help others feel heard, understood, and supported—especially those who feel overlooked or misunderstood. He believes therapy is about learning to understand emotions and experiences, not hiding them, and about realizing that even if things were once not okay, people can still heal and grow. Abe is motivated by helping different generations and perspectives find understanding, kindness, and respect. Outside of work, he loves learning new things and sharing interests with others, whether that’s sports, gaming, anime, cooking, sewing, or trying something completely new. He believes therapy is a journey, and finding the right therapist—someone who challenges you and vibes with you—is an important part of that process.

Jen didn’t start out in the mental health field, but after an entry level job at a group home for children opened her eyes to the opportunity to support vulnerable populations, she returned to school to get her Masters in Social Work, and has been passionately dedicated to this work for the past 13 years.

Jen’s motivated by our shared humanity: “We are all human, and we all experience the ups and downs of life, some more traumatic than others. But we all need help and support in our lives at some point. The sheer resilience of the human spirit is amazing, and if I can be of assistance in any way to help someone reach their full potential, then I consider myself lucky.” She wants people to know that there are lots of ways to support mental health that look to the whole person, including sleep, how we play, work life, and relationships. For anyone who’s nervous to start therapy, Jen acknowledges that taking the first step is truly an act of courage: “It is normal to feel anxiety about sharing intimate thoughts and feelings with a stranger. But I hope to grow our relationship and to prove that I am non-judgmental, deeply empathetic, and will work to make you feel seen, heard, and valued.”

Psychotherapy, CBT, Trauma-informed therapy, crisis work, play therapy, EMDR trained (not certified), ACT, humanistic therapy, attachment-based therapy, and motivational interviewing. Experienced in working with issues related to the Latinx, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ immigrant, and low SES populations, respectively.

Liz is a compassionate and skilled mental health professional with extensive experience in a variety of clinical settings. She began her career as a school social worker, working with students from elementary through high school, before moving on to serve transitional-age youth with severe mental illness in a full-service partnership program. Her journey then took her to a hospital’s complex care unit, where she worked with high-risk and vulnerable populations. Later, she provided mental health consultation for school-based staff and adults, focusing on capacity building. Currently, Liz offers individual therapy and coaching, using a compassionate, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach to help clients achieve self-realization.

A first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants raised in the Bay Area, Liz’s commitment to mental health stems from her interest in family histories, generational trauma, and systems of oppression. This passion inspired her to join a college counseling program for BIPOC students, sparking her dedication to clinical social work. Liz is deeply motivated by her communities, finding joy in helping others thrive and grow. In her personal time, she enjoys relaxing with her 11-year-old chihuahua, Chiquis, spending time with her nieces and nephew, writing, and binge-watching shows—always making room for a good nap.

For Liz, the journey to working in the mental health field is personal. “When I was growing up, I had an aunt who was in and out of psychiatric hospitals due to depression.
